Keith A. Brown

Keith A. Brown graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. He spent one year with National City Bank before joining Donn Corporation, a manufacturer of commercial interior building materials. In 1987, he founded Chimera Corporation as a holding company to facilitate the acquisition of low- to medium-technology businesses, as well as to develop real estate opportunities.

Jeanne Silcox

Jeanne joined Burton D. Morgan Foundation in 2017.  A seasoned Executive Assistant with over 25 years in the field, she has extensive experience with all administrative tasks, including event planning and office management.  Having held positions in the legal, public accounting, and manufacturing fields, Jeanne is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of various clients. She enjoys serving on a team to help others.

Souraya Pierce

Souraya joined  Burton D. Morgan Foundation in 2021.  Souraya has a wealth of experience working in a variety of settings including retail, food service, business, and government.  She also has ten years of experience in office and project management.  Souraya earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in Business from University of Phoenix.  Souraya is the self-proclaimed "Queen of Multi-tasking!

Michal Marcus

Michal joined Burton D Morgan Foundation in October 2022 as Program Officer. She previously worked for 16 years at HFLA of Northeast Ohio. Under her leadership, HFLA increased its outreach and partnerships, tripling funds that directly impact the lives of borrowers in need and forging relationships with other non-profits and community foundations to align their anti-poverty and financial empowerment efforts. She had a leadership role in advocating for payday lending reform at the state level.

Emily Bean

Emily Bean has been with Burton D. Morgan Foundation since 2014. She has been in the philanthropic sector since 2010, first at Akron Community Foundation and then Morgan Foundation.  She is passionate about developing strategic initiatives that advance the educational field and build entrepreneurial skills. In 2022, she spearheaded the design of the YIPPEE initiative as a way to promote equity in grantmaking and integrate community into classrooms.

Angela Kwallek Evans

Angela joined Burton D. Morgan Foundation in 2014 as a Program Officer. She brings experience in grant development, management, and evaluation. She worked for four years with Toledo Community Foundation where she provided support for multiple grantmaking opportunities that advanced arts, education, and health and wellness initiatives, and efforts to promote strategic alliances and partnerships between nonprofit organizations.

Denise M. Griggs

Denise joined Burton D. Morgan Foundation in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and was elected Secretary and Assistant Treasurer for the Foundation in 2010. She previously served as the President and managing partner of Brott Mardis & Co., a local public accounting firm in Akron, Ohio. Denise is a Certified Public Accountant and has assisted a wide variety of nonprofit organizations with financial-statement audits, tax compliance work, and consulting engagements including internal-control implementation, board governance, and benefit plans.
