Welcome to "Morgan Entrepreneur Spotlight," our monthly-ish showcase where we shine a light on Northeast Ohio's entrepreneurial superstars. Each feature delves into the journeys of individuals who have participated in our programs and are harnessing their learnings to fuel impressive growth and innovation.

Darmisha Alphabet is the owner of The Touch of Teeles Cleaning and Detail. Darmisha participated in the 12-week JumpStart Impact program in 2021, and in 2023 she was able to promote her business on television via the Cleveland Chain Reaction competition.  While she didn’t win the competition, she was more excited about the opportunity to promote her business and recognize everyone who has helped her in her journey. More recently, Darmisha attended a Big Rock Valley Leadership Retreat in Cassopolis, Michigan through a partnership between the Edward Lowe Foundation and Morgan Foundation.

Tell us about your business.

“The Touch of Teeles Cleaning and Detail is a one-stop shop for all your residential and commercial needs, specializing in groundskeeping, janitorial, and industrial power washing services. We are dedicated to ensuring customer service satisfaction with every service.  Big or small, we have individuals for single, smaller jobs, and we have crews for large jobs.”

Can you share your thoughts and key takeaways about the entrepreneurship programming you have participated in?

“Having the advantage to be part of these programs has been significantly rewarding. I've learned how to properly grow my business on paper by setting up growth plans, and I’ve gained financial literacy and management skills as well as strategies for retaining employees. I have met some great people during this journey of growth.”

Please tell us about any benefits, growth, or key wins you've experienced since participating in these programs.

“I’ve been able to secure 3-year contracts with the City of Cleveland and the State of Ohio. By the grace of God I have been able to provide all the services we offer by employing more people that are overlooked due to their past, giving them a chance to be a protege of The Touch of Teeles Cleaning and Detail and giving communities a detailed touch.”

What are your goals for the next twelve months?

“I move based on an inner voice I hear. I never imagined I’d get this far and achieve this much success since starting my cleaning company in 2019, with $20 and a dream. I just continue to pray for guidance and stability.  Hopefully God will bless me in my quest to get my trucking company started. I hold my CDL, and my goal is to own a dump truck company.”

What is your favorite quote?

“Stay on your P’s: Prayer, Priorities, Peace, Positivity, Patience, Privacy.”

What is the last book you read?

The Perfect Day to Boss Up:  A Hustler’s Guide to Building Your Empire, by Rick Ross with Neil Martinez-Belkin.”

What advice do you have for budding entrepreneurs?

“Always listen to that inner voice.”
