As Burton D. Morgan Foundation looks ahead to our 60th anniversary and reflects on the past three years of our work, we are thinking deeply about what free enterprise means in people’s everyday lives.

For us, free enterprise is rooted in the freedom and opportunity to pursue ideas, create value, build businesses, solve problems, and improve circumstances. But we also know that people experience opportunity in different ways, and we would like to hear from you.

We invite you to complete one or two of the following thoughts:

  •  Opportunity means…

  •  Opportunity grows when…

  •  Free enterprise works best when…

  •  We can make it stronger by…

You are also welcome to share a brief story about a time when opportunity, entrepreneurship or free enterprise made a meaningful difference in your life, work, or community.

Email your responses, along with your name, organization or affiliation, and how you would like to be identified. Selected responses may be featured in Burton D. Morgan Foundation’s 2027 Impact Report.

If you would like to share a little more, we have also created a brief survey about free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and topics you would like to see explored through future foundation programming.
