Building a business takes more than a great idea and a solid plan. It also takes confidence, resilience and the ability to navigate uncertainty. These important but sometimes overlooked aspects of entrepreneurship will take center stage at the final Rooted & Rising event of 2026.

The Other Side of Entrepreneurship: Overcoming Self-Doubt and Building Self-Worth will take place November 9, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM, at the Center for Entrepreneurs at Corporate College. The session will give founders and small business owners an opportunity to reflect on the personal challenges of entrepreneurship, connect with peers and explore strategies for building confidence and resilience.

Launched by Morgan Foundation in 2025, Rooted & Rising brings entrepreneurs together for learning, meaningful conversations and relationship-building. The 2026 series has explored several dimensions of entrepreneurship, beginning with creativity and innovation at Case Western Reserve University's Sears think[box] in September. October brought two additional programs hosted by Ohio Startup Network and Kent State LaunchNET, one focused on understanding term sheets and navigating startup financing, and another exploring branding, marketing and customer relationships.

The November session rounds out the series by turning attention to the people behind the businesses, recognizing that personal well-being and self-confidence are important components of entrepreneurial success.

Whether you're just getting started or well into your entrepreneurial journey, we invite you to join us for this final opportunity to learn, connect and grow with fellow founders.
