EDUCATING THE NEXT WAVE OF ENTREPRENEURS REPORT RELEASED

The Global Education Initiative of The World Economic Forum recently issued its report, Educating the Next Wave of Entrepreneurs.

The report seeks to raise awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship education for developing the skills, attitudes and behaviors necessary to create jobs, generate economic growth, advance human welfare and stimulate innovation to address global challenges. Current practices in youth, collegiate, and adult entrepreneurship education are summarized. Recommendations for advancing entrepreneurship education include the need to transform educational systems; build the entrepreneurial ecosystem through an alliance of academic, public, private and non-profit sectors; pursue effective outcomes and impact; and leverage technology.
