President's Message

Welcome to the fall 2008 issue of eSpirit, capturing connections between the liberal arts and entrepreneurship on Northeast Ohio college campuses. The spirit of entrepreneurship is thriving on liberal arts campuses across the region. From business plan competitions to entrepreneurs-in-residence to entrepreneurship-themed classes...the entrepreneurial mindset is taking hold!

Students are developing innovative businesses. Students are networking and seeking capital. Students are planning their futures and envisioning entrepreneurship as a vehicle to financial independence. Students are energized! Campus cultures are evolving to embrace entrepreneurship and enhance student experience during and beyond the college years.

This November, campuses across the country will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week with a host of events and activities. Northeast Ohio schools will showcase the advances made in spreading entrepreneurship across their campuses-engaging students from majors one might not expect to inspire entrepreneurial thinking.
